I saw "There Will Be Blood" yesterday, I really liked it. It was long and, like Julian said, could have easily been edited down a bit but I loved the story and Lewis's ridiculously over the top character. Me and my girlfriend LOL'd several times at just how insane some of the shit he did and said was. I'd give it 3.5 stars...

Saw it at the dollar movie on Saturday, it was pretty good. The story was interesting and the polar bear fight scenes were solid. I didn't like how it leaves you hanging at the end and makes you wait for the 2nd movie to resolve anything. I still dug it though...

I watched it last night...it was pretty good. I think Ed Harris as the bad guy in this one was better than the dude from the first one. The storylines and the way they come to conclusions about clues is pretty ridiculous but hey...it's a movie. I dug it... :up:

It was so over the top with violence and gore that...I loved it. It was just the right amount of run time (90-something minutes) to keep the action going nonstop and avoid any boring lulls. I dug it... :up:

This weekend I saw a couple of movies, here is the rundown:
The Mist - This was a really good movie, probably the best of the horror genre I have seen this year. The ending is really out of left field and depressing but I was glad it wasn't the normal cookie cutter ending for this type of movie. It had a great cast and, eventhough it had no real name actors, didn't feel like some Sci-Fi movie of the week. Definitely worth a watch... :up:
No Country For Old Men - This was quickly becoming one of the best movies I had seen this year up until about 30 minutes before ending. Then, for whatever reason, it takes a really bad turn and made me wish it would come to an end. For about an hour and half, the tension and action sequences were fantastic. They were building up to a great climax and then, it just went south and no climax was to be had. The Cohen brothers really dropped the ball and what could have been a fantastic movie... :down:
